I was born on Hainan Island, China and grew up there till my family moved in my early teen years to Guangzhou city, the capital of Guangdong province. After college, I moved again. This time, I journeyed alone across Pacific Ocean to come to the U.S. as a graduate student.
After earning a master degree in Applied Math and a second master in Computer Science, I started working as a software engineer. Now I am what convention considers a housewife and stay-home-mom but I dub myself CEO of Crowley-Tang Incorporated.
I love reading and have always had an interest in words. It is a silly little thing but once I got a fortunate cookie from a dinner at P.F.Chang that has this message, “You are a lover of words, someday you should write a book.” To this day, I still own the ½”x2” paper strip.
With new found freedom and time, I created this blog, a garden for me to cultivate with words.
